Underwater Terrors

Ah, once again we visit the busy halls of Angle Fish Elementary, a place where anything can happen. Where danger lurks around every corner and you must expect the unexpected. As for today, let us get a closer look at what Mr. C’s class is up to:
“Good morning class, as you all know today we are going on a field trip, you will be learning about the dangers of the ocean,” explained
Mr. C. “Yeah!” chanted the class “But first let’s take attendance.” “ Bella,” “here” “Rainbow,” “current” Rascal,” “here” “Shock,” “present” CeCe,” “here” “and last but not least, Billy,” “…here”. “Good now let’s all get aboard Mr. Finproclaimed Mr. C as the class boarded the school whale.
After passing endless kelp forests and schools of fish they reached “The Forbidden Ocean”, and as the class realized this, they panicked.
“Now I know we are in the Forbidden Ocean but,we are here to learn, so no straying off!” clarified
Mr. C, “We are going to be touring through this ocean so you know for the future what to avoid, now Mr. Fin please begin your tour.” “Of course, now children, the ocean is full of all kinds of species, but what ones are dangerous? Well, hang tight and you’ll see."Mr. Fin concluded with a slam of his tail. The students looked back as Mr. Fin’s voice faded away and they directed their attention to the current created by his tail. It had pushed some scallops off the ground and they seemed happy to have moved. Look away kids!” Mr. Fin shrieked as the kids directed their attention to what Mr. Fin was speaking of and sure enough they were surprised! Never before had they seen a Hammerhead Shark eating a Scrawled Filefish in real life let alone with such commotion. As suddenly as it happened the fish was gone… and so was the shark.
They all stood there in awe as
Mr. Fin broke the silence, “…Another thing to avoid are parasites, like …that Sea Lamprey over there! Hide kids don’t let him get to you!”….. “he will suck all your blood and he decides to let you live or die. He can detach himself and leave you be, or ….well, you know.” Mr. Fin added once the Sea Lamprey was gone. “Oh No!” Cried the kids in horror as they got out from hiding.
"We have reached the Whale Graveyard" explained
Mr. C, this is where most of the fungi live, fungi are decomposers, they aren’t harmful, but it is good to know about them, look there is some Rhizophydium coronum eating that dead orca,” “Ewww!” exclaimed the class in disgust “No, this is the cycle of life, this is how fungi eat, and the dead organism doesn’t care,” Mr. C clarified. “Well I think we should leave off there Mr. Fin, I think the kids have been traumatized enough,” “sure Mr. C”. “Let’s go back to school!”
